He has had a great spring training allowing only 4 earned runs , all that coming on his last start. He should keep the Pirates bats quiet. He has missed nearly 2 full years but if he can stay healthy should regain his place as the ace of this rotation.

Reason: There wasn't a more consistent starter among the White Sox rotation last year than the 23-year-old left-hander John Danks. Danks won 12 games but easily could have won five or six more, as he allowed two runs or fewer in 22 starts, tying Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee for the most among American League pitchers. He is a very stingy pitcher that doesn't allow a lot of opportunity to score, which doesn't bode well for the royals who have only scored 4 times in 2 games. The White Sox bats should be alive tomorrow against Royals pitcher Kyle Davies, who has only posted an Era. of under 5 once in his career.
